India TV – The House for Breaking News

The other day, I met 3 of my close friends after a whole year. Time actually flies off, I still remember the quality time spent by us and how we used just go around painting the town red. As soon as we met, we started doing things at which we are best, that is Duniya ki Bajaao, care a damn about the world and gain immense pleasure by troubling them. In our good old days, one of our timepass included watching news on India TV. No, we aren’t the types who like to be updated about all the happenings around us and are Newzmaniacs. We exclusively followed a single News Channel. That is because it provided pure pathetic Entertainment instead of News.

I am quite sure most of you guys reading would have guessed which channel I am speaking about. Yes, it is India TV. This channel has attracted our attention right from its inception. Its head Reporter, “Rajat Sharma” who likes to hide the balding patch on his head by pulling the hair all around his head. I mean, if he cannot accept the fact that he is balding, how can he even think of providing quality and true news to the public. I would just like to mention here that the JHAKATTA team has no issues against Mr. Sharma or any of the balding men in India or otherwise.

I am quite sure there is a technical team in place to churn out these amazing titles. These titles frankly have no connection with reality or for that matter with the news. Juts have a look at the various titles,

* Alien ne churaayee gaai
* Makhimaar Obama
* Kalyug ka ant tai
* Mahavinash ki bhavishywaani
* Billi ka rescue Operation
* Amitabh ka punarjanm
* Ek chanta paach pappi
* Team India Ka LIVE Sringaar
* Car gayab hogi
* Kalyug ke teen raam
* 350 kilo ka dulaah
* Swarg ka shortcut
* And many such senseless headlines…

The only thing which comes to my mind when I see these shows is simple “Bajaao”. These guys have literally down graded the level of journalism. And to top that this channel is registered as an Entertainment Channel, so all these programs can surely be put under pure entertainment.

Also there is another (In)famous program on India TV, Aap ki Adalat. The origins of this program lie in Star TV, which initially started broadcasting this show. Once I would like to say, this show is total crap.

What kinda Adalat is this? The celebrities come in and are asked predefined questions. Later, as per the format are left scot free (Baa Izzat Baree).

In fact I would like to appreciate this individual. He definitely has a good brain in between those shoulders and has got some guts. How else can you explain these shows which even an uneducated person will not see. And the results are for everyone to see, this channel pulls up amazing TRPs on daily basis.

We actually need to ask ourselves a question, are we actually idiots or just pretending. No Gyaan from me anymore, because after all we know what we are and will remain the same, what say?
